I've been in the real estate business in Seattle for over 17 years after over 25 years of extensive experience in international sales and service with a major industrial equipment firm. I am a Kings Point Maritime Academy graduate with a Marine Engineering Degree. I live in the Eastside and work out of the Madison Park area.
In 1988, I joined The Landmark Group Residential and Commercial Real Estate firm and within 4 years I obtained my Associate Broker's License. I have continued with this Company in spite of having had several opportunities to join other companies that enjoy more prestige. For the last 5 years I have been one of the three top individual sales agents in the Company. I run the Property Management Division there and provide “mentoring services” to the new and seasoned agent in the firm.
During my career in real estate I have been involved in numerous sales and purchases of residential, commercial properties, business opportunities, leasing and property management. Never specializing in any one market, my philosophy has been to be able to provide a "full service" to my clientele.
Knowledge of the business is critical to give one's clients the edge. I subscribe to this philosophy by earning the prestigious Graduate of the Realtor's Institute (GRI) designation. Only 5% of active real estate agents hold this designation, which is earned through comprehensive instruction of all aspects of real estate, including finance, legal issues, contracts, marketing real estate, commercial and investment real estate analysis.
All this education is necessary to react to the change that is occurring in business daily. Customers are requiring different services. The way agents serve their customers is changing. Gone are the days of choosing an agent that is the family friend, here are the days of choosing the professional to represent your interests. I am keen in using the latest in “state of the art” equipment and tools to facilitate the transfer of information quickly and accurately to my client. The use of the latest technology in real estate has allowed me to work a broad geographic area and still have up to the minute, local information. I was one of the first agents in the nation with a fully operational website geared to the real estate industry.
Over the years I have accumulated a great “team” of related industry people that I enjoy working with and respond to my clients. I only recommend the best lenders with only the most competitive rates and a high level of service. My team of professionals includes two lenders, two title representatives, two escrow officers, two inspectors and a transaction coordinator. All of these people work on your behalf to a smooth transaction with the least hassles, and insure that every detail is handled.
I work more as a consultant than a salesperson. This means that my objective is to research and provide options so you can make educated decisions. I strive to give to my clients the highest level of service, which is a balance between high technology and people.
